Mankato — Ten years after the launch of True Real Estate, the locally owned company is entering its next chapter with the introduction of TrueRE, a new parent brand bringing together True Real Estate, True Commercial and True Land under one organization.

TrueRE reflects the continued growth and evolution of the company founded by broker and entrepreneur Jen True in 2016. What began as a residential real estate brokerage has expanded to provide specialized expertise across residential, commercial and land real estate throughout Minnesota.

“Real estate isn’t one-size-fits-all,” said True. “Someone buying their first home has very different needs than a business owner looking for commercial space or a landowner considering the sale of farmland. TrueRE gives us a structure that allows each of those areas to have dedicated expertise while still benefiting from everything we’ve built together as one company.”

Under TrueRE, the company will operate three specialized divisions:

True Real Estate provides residential real estate services for buyers, sellers, investors and those making their next move. The division combines personalized guidance with deep knowledge of Minnesota communities and markets. True Real Estate now has eight Minnesota office locations and more than 100 years of combined experience among its team.

True Commercial provides strategic commercial real estate expertise for businesses, investors, property owners and tenants. Services include office, retail and industrial properties, investment real estate, land development and tenant representation.

True Land specializes in agricultural, recreational, rural residential and development land. Its services include agricultural land sales, land auctions, rural residential properties, development and transitional land, market analysis and valuation, and legacy and succession planning.

While each division has its own identity and specialized team, being part of TrueRE provides access to shared marketing resources, technology, operational infrastructure, market knowledge, professional relationships and the combined experience of the broader organization.

Building on a Decade of Growth

The launch comes during a milestone year for the company.

True opened True Real Estate in January 2016 after 15 years in the industry. A decade later, the company has grown into one of Southern Minnesota’s largest independent real estate brokerages. According to a July 2026 profile in Connect Business Magazine, the company completed $281 million in transaction volume and 1,035 closed transaction sides in 2025 across residential, commercial and land real estate. The publication reported approximately 80 affiliated agents and eight Minnesota locations.

The company’s expansion beyond residential real estate developed over time as opportunities and specialized expertise were added. Commercial real estate became a distinct area of focus as experienced commercial professionals joined the organization, followed by the launch of True Land in 2025 to serve agricultural, recreational and rural property clients.

That growth ultimately created the need for a broader identity.

“As we grew, it became clear that True had become more than a residential real estate company,” True said. “We had built specialized expertise in three very different areas of real estate. TrueRE gives us a way to communicate who we are today while creating room for where we go next.”

TrueRE also builds upon an independent brand that has become highly recognizable throughout Southern Minnesota. True has remained committed to maintaining the company’s independence even as larger national organizations have approached the brokerage about joining franchise networks.

That independence remains central to the new structure.

Although the organizational structure is evolving, clients will continue working directly with the True division and professionals who best fit their needs.
