How Eagle Lake Tator Days got its name is somewhat of a mystery. When asked, the best the coordinators could offer was that as long as anyone could remember, free french fries of one sort or another have always been part of the celebration.
Mystery or no, there’s a lot going on in Eagle Lake this weekend! Here’s the schedule:
Thursday, July 19th
- Miss Eagle Lake – 6:30 pm at Eagle Lake Legion, including Lil Miss Eagle Lake & Lil Fry Guy
- Pedal Pull – 6:00 pm at Eagle Lake Fire Hall (Registration at 5:30 pm) – New Night!
- Karaoke – 8:30 pm at Eagle Lake American Legion
Friday, July 20th
- Beer Garden with full bar & concessions – 4 pm at Eagle Lake American Legion Pavilion
- Early Registration & Packet Pick-up for 5K and Kids Mile – 5–6 pm at Eagle Lake Elementary
- Two Great Bands on Stage at Eagle Lake American Legion: Sandra Lee and the Velvets – 6-9pm and Gold Star – 9 pm-12:30 am
Saturday, July 21st
- 5K and Kids Mile Registration – 7-8 am at Eagle Lake School
- 5K Race Starts – 8 am at Eagle Lake School
- Pancake Breakfast – 7:30–10:30 am at Eagle Lake Fire Hall. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a LUCAS CPR Device
- Kids Mile Starts – 9 am at Eagle Lake School
- Tator Days Parade – 1 pm at Linda Ave, Agency St, and Parkway Ave
- Kids Water Fights – 2–4:30pm at Eagle Lake Fire Department (Parkway Ave)
- SpaceWalk of Mankato Inflatables – 2–4 pm at Eagle Lake American Legion ($5 wristband) New!
- Free French Fries – show your button – 2 pm at Eagle Lake American Legion
