Mankato – We are excited to host this month’s Fix-It Clinic in conjunction with Mankato Zero Waste Day in the Park, Saturday, September 19th, 10am-1pm at the Sibley Park Pavilion.
The event will feature a clothing swap, food, activities for kids, live music, clothing repair, Fix-it Clinic for small appliances, and lots of information about moving toward a zero waste lifestyle, all at no cost!
Have a broken toaster, torn jacket, or glitchy lamp? Don’t toss it — bring it to the free Fix-It Clinic! You will get help from volunteers who can assist with repairs and teach you hands-on DIY skills.
What to expect:
- Items should be carry-in size for hands-on repair.
- First-come, first-served. Limit 2 items per household.
- Items accepted until 30 minutes before the event ends.
- Non-accepted items:
- Large items that cannot be carried by one person.
- Items with gasoline engines.
- Smartphones or tablets.
- Items needing a full zipper replacement (this repair isn’t available during the event due to time constraints, however some smaller zipper repairs can be done).
For more information, please connect with Fix-It Clinics, Mankato at their Facebook page or the events page at mankatomakerspace.org.
Zero Waste Day in the Park is made possible by Mankato Clinic Foundation and the City of Mankato Community Grant Program.
