State Street Theater (SST) in New Ulm installed a long-anticipated electronic sign. This project was incorporated into the first capital campaign effort in 2017 and then deferred to the current capital campaign just completed. Sid’s Signs on Broadway designed, manufactured, and completed installation on Friday, September 27, 2024. Full Service Electric completed the wiring to not only bring electricity to the new sign but also a soon- to-be-installed ground light to illuminate the restored original flagpole. SST will be able to fly “Old Glory” year-round. River Creek Nursery will add landscaping. The sign will list upcoming shows and special events. Drive or walk by the theater at 1 N. State Street, New Ulm, and check out the new electronic marquee sign.
State Street Theater is in the final stages of an extensive capital campaign that made the purchase of this sign possible. Some funds are still needed to wrap up the campaign.
