One leg of the extensive trail system in and around Mankato, the North Minnesota River Trail offers spectacular views.
A scenic, paved, trail running next to the Minnesota River and through Mankato, the trail passes through prairie, woodland, industrial areas, and Riverfront Park in the heart of Old Town.
Connecting with The Sakatah Trail at the north, the trail ends at Sibley Park in the west. The North Minnesota River Trail connects with the West Mankato Trail near where Highways 169/60 cross the Minnesota River on the North Star Bridge. The West Mankato Trail becomes the Red Jacket Trail a few mile south of the intersection.
