I ended up in Montana this week, so here’s a really quick recommendation for you. Go to Alive After 5 again this week! The Last Revel is an amazing band and they’re the real deal. They’re true to their roots, writing about real-life, and having a real organic sound with banjo, guitar and fiddle.

I read that their previous lead singer had the opportunity to go his own way and a female stepped into the role, to which, may I say, “Hell yea!?” That they changed it up with a female is really cool. It’s never a “replacement” because that’s not what it’s about. It’s about evolving. The only constant is change.
The scene is fun and it’s early, 5-7:30 pm, which is awesome for anyone who needs to wake up before the sun rises. Speaking of the sun, the Hilton Garden Inn just so happens to act like a giant shade, so you can actually see the band and not stare into the sun.
