Come one, Come all! It’s time for the annual Fun Days celebration! The event is held in beautiful Wheeler Park in lower North Mankato. Fun Days was begun in 1965 by the city of North Mankato as a thank you to the many volunteers who filled sand bags ahead of an anticipated flood. 2018 marks the celebration’s 54th year!
City spokesperson, Lynette Peterson, offered, “We are super excited about our new event Pancakes in the Park on Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm, available for a free-will donation.” She added, “This is in conjunction with our Family Day where there will be a petting zoo, car and motorcycle show, kid’s pedal pull, special needs carnival, and carnival wristband time from 1 pm To 5 pm.”
Peterson went on to announce, “We are also excited about our grand marshals for the parade, local law enforcement! It’s a tribute to their hard work and dedication to our community.”
