    October 8th, 2024

United Way of the Brown County Area is thrilled to announce the 27th annual Fall Days of Caring, scheduled for October 24th to October 26th, 2023. This highly anticipated event provides an opportunity for community members to come together and positively impact the lives of those in need.

The core principle behind Days of Caring is “Three Days to Help One Another.” Through this event, volunteers can demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of New Ulm, Springfield, Sleepy Eye, and other communities in Brown County to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. Projects can vary widely and may include small painting projects, raking leaves, washing windows, cleaning gutters, or other yard work that enhances the living conditions of individuals and families alike.

Days of Caring is an annual event organized by United Way to foster a sense of community and promote volunteerism. Participants are encouraged to recruit family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to form teams ranging in size from two to ten people. Teams can choose the day and times and are then matched with project requests. Together, these teams will dedicate time and effort to providing valuable services to individuals who are unable to complete tasks on their own.

With the upcoming Fall Days of Caring in sight, United Way of the Brown County Area is actively seeking teams to meet our community’s pressing needs. We invite all individuals, families, and organizations who share our vision of a stronger, more connected community to participate in this remarkable event. By dedicating just a few hours to helping others, teams can create a lasting impact and positive change.

The deadline for individual and team applications is October 14 th , 2024. Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to apply promptly to secure a place in this rewarding and impactful event.
