SAINT PETER – More than 300 ceramic bowls hand-crafted by local artists will be for sale at Souper Bowl: A Fundraiser for the Arts Center of Saint Peter on Tuesday, March 17, 3:00-6:00 p.m. at The Capitol Room, 419 S. Minnesota Ave., St. Peter.

A tradition for three decades, “Souper Bowl” showcases the artistry of local potters who work together to throw, trim, fire and glaze bowls in a variety of sizes and styles. Bowls are priced starting at $20. Specialty bowls hand-painted with Minnesota fish species and other images from the local landscape will also be available. Prices for specialty items begin at $40.

Attendees will also be invited to enjoy a serving of soup, either in their new bowl or a disposable container. A variety of soups, as well as bread and cookies, will be available courtesy of St. Peter Food Co-Op & Deli.

All proceeds from the sale benefit the Arts Center, a nonprofit multifunction arts space housing a pottery studio, gallery, and performance venue, with classes and special events open to the public year-round.
