ProMusica in Motion Season Announcement

    ProMusica Minnesota is pleased to announce their 2024-25 season! The series, entitled “ProMusica in Motion,” encourages audiences to move out of their comfort zone and into the concert hall, Chapel of the Christ at Martin Luther College in New Ulm.

    The first concert of the season, Take Five, scheduled for October 13, 2024 at 3:00 pm, features piano quintets by Schumann and Dvorak. This concert will also be performed in St. Cloud per the invitation of the St. Cloud Chamber Music Society. The second concert, on February 16, brings us Schubert’s beloved art song, Die Forelle, and the piano quintet he based on it – The Trout – and is rounded out by Hummel’s Piano Quintet in E flat minor. Concert number three, The Grand Tango on April 6, serves up the South American fare of Astor Piazolla’s Le Grand Tango paired with music by Beethoven and Brahms. Audiences at the University of Minnesota- Morris will hear a preview of this concert on March 30.

    Minnesota Orchestra favorites Susie Park, violin; Alan Snow, violin; Marlea Simpson, viola; Tony Ross, cello; Rui Du, violin; Sarah Switzer, viola; Kristen Bruya, bass; Silver Ainomäe, cello; and Gabriel Campos Zamora, clarinet join Artistic Director for ProMusica Bethel Balge, piano, for this motion-packed season.

    Season passes are now available for the three concerts of the New Ulm Series. With each purchase of a season pass, ProMusica Minnesota will include a gift from local artisan Top Hat Candles. A reception will be held immediately following the first concert and come early for the second and third performances to hear music by New Ulm Suzuki School students.

    Now in its ninth season, ProMusica Minnesota is dedicated to producing unique and excellent chamber music performances in an intimate setting, bringing the audience closer to the music and its musicians. ProMusica Minnesota strives to nurture a personal and poignant relationship with some of the greatest music ever written performed by elite musicians here in our neighborhoods of southern Minnesota.

    Tickets are $25 for general admission and $5 for youth and students. Online ticketing is available at promusicamn.com. Advance reservations are preferred, but remaining tickets will be available for purchase before each concert.
