Fairmont — The Fairmont Opera House and Fairmont Area Community Theater are delighted to announce their upcoming production of the beloved Disney musical “Mary Poppins.”
Due to the ongoing Fairmont Opera House capital repair and rehabilitation project, Fairmont Area Community Theater’s production of “Mary Poppins” will take the stage at the Fairmont High School Performing Arts Center (900 Johnson St, Fairmont, MN) from July 23 to July 28, and promises to be an enchanting experience for audiences of all ages.
Based on the stories by Cameron Mackintosh and the beloved Walt Disney film, “Mary Poppins” is a magical tale that follows the adventures of the practically perfect nanny as she brings life, love, and laughter to the Banks family. With unforgettable songs like “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” and “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” this production will capture the hearts of both the young and the young-at-heart.
Directed by Sara Gudahl of Fairmont, this production features a stellar cast of local talent, stunning choreography by Courtney Stueber, a live pit orchestra directed by Katie Hoaglund, and vibrant set designs by Jay Schmidt and James Miller that transport the audience to the charming streets of Edwardian London. The Fairmont Opera House is proud to bring this family-friendly musical to life with the support of our dedicated volunteers and community partners.

Tickets are now available online at www.fairmontoperahouse.org/tickets, the Fairmont Opera House Behind the Scenes Building (112 E. Blue Earth Ave, Fairmont) Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, or at the door at the Fairmont High School Performing Arts Center.

- Veteran/Active Duty – $17
Ticket purchasers can save $5 by purchasing advance tickets online using code “ONLINE” at checkout. Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more; please contact the Fairmont Opera House for group bookings. Early booking is recommended as seats are expected to sell out quickly.
