City of North Mankato and the Mankato Symphony Orchestra Announce 2024 Symphony on the Prairie

    North Mankato — The City of North Mankato and the Mankato Symphony Orchestra are proud to announce the fourth annual concert at Benson Park: Symphony on the Prairie. The concert will run from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at the north side of Benson Park (off of Timm Road).

    Families are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a beautiful concert by the Mankato Symphony. The setlist includes memorable and popular tunes such as the Star-Spangled Banner, music from Journey, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Stars and Stripes Forever, and more! The performance will also open and close with the North Mankato Post 518 Color Guard. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event.

    The September 7th concert marks the first concert in the Mankato Symphony’s 74th season. In addition to this concert, the Symphony will offer twenty-two events, including four full symphony concerts, four Music on the Hill chamber music concerts, and nine See Hear Play: Free Family Fun events and one special benefit concert. Thanks to North Mankato’s generous sponsorship, admission to the September 7th concert is free. A free will offering will be taken during the concert.
