Kiwanis Recreation Area is a many-featured Mankato park located just north of town on Highway 169.

One leg of the extensive trail system in and around Mankato, the Minnesota River Trail offers spectacular views.

Riverview Park, nestled between the Minnesota River and Highway 169 in North Mankato,  is the perfect place to start a ramble along the western bank of the river.

Riverside Park in St. Peter, is a hidden gem nestled on the west bank of the Minnesota River just south of Highway 99.

Red Jacket Trail Park, located south of Mankato on Highway 66, offers access to the Red Jacket Trail, as well as views of the Red Jacket Trestle and the beautiful Le Sueur River.
