State Street Theater is excited to announce auditions for Blithe Spirit, Noël Coward’s beloved supernatural comedy. A witty and fast-paced classic, Blithe Spirit follows fussy novelist Charles Condomine, whose life is turned upside down when the ghost of his first wife is accidentally summoned during a séance. Performances will take place April 10–12, 2026.
Auditions will be held on January 8, at 6:30 PM, January 10, at 9:30 AM, and January 12, at 6:30 PM at State Street Theater. All are welcome at any or all auditions! Please note: this production does not include any children’s roles.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No monologue is required. Actors should be prepared to read with or without a scene partner. All roles are open, and performers of all experience levels are encouraged to audition.
Blithe Spirit features a small cast of strong comedic roles and offers plenty of opportunity for sharp timing, physical comedy, and character-driven humor. Director Wendy Tuttle welcomes adults interested in being part of this classic, laugh-out-loud production.
