Event Details

This exhibit celebrates one of Waseca’s most cherished traditions—the annual Sleigh & Cutter Festival. Through historic photographs, artifacts, and interactive displays, visitors will explore the roots of the festival, just how folks kept warm long ago during winter travel, the legacy of Sleigh & Cutter Royalty, and more.

Exhibit features include:

  • A bright red sleigh photo op for kids, couples, and winter adventurers
  • Historic artifacts, cozy blankets, foot warmers, and other reminders of how Minnesotans kept warm in generations past
  • Stories, memorabilia, and artifacts celebrating Miss Sleigh Bell and beloved festival traditions
  • Sleigh & Cutter history showcased through historic scrapbooks and community keepsakes
  • Learning areas that teach visitors how to tell the difference between sleighs and cutters

The exhibit will be open during regular museum hours, Tues-Fri 9-5, throughout the festival season. Admission is free.
