Production Team announced Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

    June 29th, 2024

This July, theatergoers will be transported back to biblical times with State Street Theater’s production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s rock opera Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. State Street Theater is pleased to introduce the production staff who will be working hard all summer long to bring to life this humorous and inspirational musical favorite.

The show is being directed by Justine Hanan. Justine has been involved in many productions since high school. Most recently she was in Beauty and the Beast and Much Ado About Nothing at State Street Theater. She is very excited to be in the director’s chair for the first time, with one of her favorite musicals.

Eric Harstad provides vocal direction. Eric Harstad discovered Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the pre-internet era from checking out an audio cassette of the play from his local library in West Allis, WI. As was common at that time, he made a copy in a double cassette boom box and proceeded to listen to it enough times that it was memorized. Later he saw a performance with Donny Osmond at the State Theater in Minneapolis in 1995. He has loved this show for a long time and is happy to direct the music of this wonderful show. Dr. Harsha teaches music at Mankato Christian Academy and has directed the Minnesota Valley Chorale in Mankato since 2012.

Christina Koester is the show’s producer. She has produced many shows at SSTC including Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins. She and her husband also direct the musicals at Cathedral High School when they are not enjoying time with their four young children.

Courtney Wyczawski is the show’s stage manager. Courtney has stage managed several shows, including Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Who Dunit and To Whom? at State Street Theater and Anything Goes at Cathedral High School. When not busy with theater, Courtney spends time on her hobby farm with her husband and three daughters.

Lauren Hoffmann is the show’s choreographer. She has been coaching high school competitive dance and at her community studio for over ten years. She has been choreographing dance routines since she was a freshman in high school herself. When she’s not focusing on dance, she’s coaching, playing sports and, spending time with her Son.
