The Fairmont Opera House is thrilled to announce an unforgettable musical event produced in partnership with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra and Grace Lutheran Church.
After the success of last season’s Handel’s Messiah, the Mankato Symphony Orchestra returns with Mozart’s Requiem in D Minor, a powerful choral and symphonic work featuring the same acclaimed soloists from the Minnesota Opera as last year, alongside a specially selected chorus of talented singers from our local community, led by Choral Director Jon Hermanson.
Adding to this musical celebration is the MSO debut of pianist Clare Longendyke, who will perform the iconic Emperor Piano Concerto by Beethoven with the full orchestra. Together, these works promise an inspiring and masterful afternoon of music, showcasing the artistry of local talent and professional musicians.
Before the show, The Fairmont Opera House invites you to a unique lunchtime program, Snacks with the Symphony, at 1:30 pm at Grace Lutheran Church for a Q&A session with the pianist, a vocal soloist, the Conductor, and the Mankato Symphony Orchestra’s Executive Director to learn about the performers, classical music, and more profound ways to engage with the show. Complimentary snacks will be provided, and freewill donations will be appreciated. This pre-show conversation is free; however, a ticket will be required to experience the concert at 3 pm.
Tickets are available now, and seating is limited. Everyone who purchases tickets online at fairmontoperahouse.org/tickets and uses the code “ONLINE” will receive $5 off each ticket they purchase. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the magic of classical music performed by some of the region’s finest musicians in a beautiful community setting.
For more information or to secure your ticket, please contact the Fairmont Opera House at 507-238-4900 or email us at info@fairmontoperahouse.org.
