Boy in Blue Memorial

The Boy In Blue historical marker in Mankato honors those from Blue Earth County who volunteered and gave their lives in the Civil War.

The marker was first established in 1893 in Lincoln Park. Over the years it fell into disrepair but a group of dedicated volunteers restored the Memorial and it was rededicated in 2015.

The Boy in Blue Committee sponsors civil war-related events at the Memorial.
